Tevin & Sami Engagement

Tevin planned a surprise proposal to his long-time girlfriend Sami on the Easter weekend. Sami had no idea what was planned for her and she was dressed to kill for their “special” dinner date at Kalamata Kouzina Restaurant, a Greek restaurant in Durban North. Tevin planned the proposal down to the last detail with Aleko, the owner of Kalamata, who was so obliging and helped us set up in a corner, in the hopes that Sami would not notice us. To our dismay Sami had noticed us as soon as she arrived, however, Tevin managed to convince her that we were there for the Greek dancing that was planned for later on in the evening.

The time for the proposal had come and the Greek dancing had begun, it was a fantastic experience with Aleko and his team showcasing Greek dancing. The entire restaurant joined in the dancing and the plate breaking, and soon a ring of fire was created and Tevin was called to the centre where Aleko pretended to make him part of the Greek dancing. To Sami’s surprise and the surprise of all the patrons of the restaurant, Tevin got down on one knee, with the ring in hand, proposed to Sami. She was astounded as were the rest of the patrons. It was such a special moment which we were so privileged to capture.
